miBook MKHP20 Home Kit Includes Home Projects and Home Repairs Guides

The miBook MKC1 is a tremendous product. We purchased it after seeing it displayed at a retail outlet mainly for the food preparation feature. It has been extremely helpful and time saving on getting into the kitchen and preparing meals quickly and with ease.

That program worked so well that I purchased the home maintenance file and that has already saved me hundreds of dollars doing things around the house that I have paid others to do in the past.

I hope they continue to bring more and more programs to the system. This product is fantastic!Get more detail about miBook MKHP20 Home Kit Includes Home Projects and Home Repairs Guides.

CLIE PEG-N610C/V Purple Handheld Get it now!

When my Palm 3XE was on its death bed I began searching for a PDA. I ended up replacing it with the Sony N610C.

The Good:

Excellent display-High resolution; I appreciate this more than I thought I would. Go for color-its worth it.

Long battery life.

Jog dial-really nice.

Cover is fine-I have had no problems with this.

Asthetics-very nice looking PDA.

Price-you can get a great deal on one now that the 615 is out.

The Bad:

Its heavy.

Sony provided brochures not very helpful - although I had a good experience with Sony customer service. They had my info from my old palm into my CLIE in 15 minutes.

Overall this is an excellent PDA. As long as the weight doesn't bother you I would highly recommend this PDA.Get more detail about CLIE PEG-N610C/V Purple Handheld.

Handspring Visor Pro (Silver) Right now

This is a great Palm-O/S based handheld unit. With 16MB of memory it offers plenty of storage; more than most Palm-based units on the market. The USB synchronization and rechargable battery are nice, too. A great device for those who want a 'workhorse' instead of a 'showhorse'. ;-)Get more detail about Handspring Visor Pro (Silver).

Low Price HP iPAQ Pocket PC hx2750 - Windows Mobile 2003 SE - PXA270 624 MHz - RAM: 128 MB - ROM: 128 MB 3.5" TFT ( 240 x 320 ) - fingerprint - IrDA, Bluetooth, 802.11b

You don't see alot of HX2750s, but let me tell you, its not because they are not awesome. Fastest CPU (over 600Mhz), most memory, BT, WiFi and finger print reader. I installed tomtom on it and now its also my gps.
The finger print reader is so much easier to use then a password, you swipe and your done, smooth!

2 things i would have liked.
1. VGA display
2. GPS built in, rather then needing an adapter.
But hey, no one is perfect.

Discount HTC TYTN II Smartphone P4551/KAISER

It is not so often I really like electronic devices, especially microsoft software run devices, but this device takes the cake. The complexity of mobile devices is insane today. Some devices take an amazing amount of time to learn and even then have problems that only an expert can resolve. This phone (and software) on the otherhand is absolutely user friendly and functions properly for the general public (I include myself in the general public considering my lack of programming skills, limited knowledge of the interworkings of these complex electronic devices, and the limited time I will dedicate towards configuring the devices).

As a comparison, I own two symbian phones (a nokia e61 and a sony ericsson p1i). Symbian is just trouble from the start. I thought I was crazy, but after starting to use this phone, wizards take on a new meaning. I had my gmail account setup in 30 seconds on the tytn ii unlike the numerous problems of setup with the other phones. Almost anytime I find the need to figure out a feature, I can usually find the option within 30 seconds, or if I cant, the HTC manual is complete and orderly therefore allowing a usually quick reference to determine the necessary configuration.

The number of utilities this phone has is just fabulous. Considering the phone size, many people say it is huge, I say it couldnt be better. It is smaller than my e61, although thicker. It is a bit of a brick at first touch sense it is 190grams, but with the features, you just can complain. The battery life is somewhat of a problem if you use continuous email. I have found though, that when I switch my email to only push and shut off the data connections the rest of the time, I get about three days on a charge, so truly the battery functions just well. I dont think any other devices can run a constant data connection much longer anyway.

To finish, this is my business phone. It does the job. It does it better than most other phones probably can and with greater ease (less necessary contact with your crumby tech support guys). If you need half of the options this phone delivers, dont hestitate!

Sony Clie PEG-NX60 (Silver) Handheld

I have owned one of these PDA's since it first came out. The only problem I ever had was I had to replace the rechargeable battery after about 8 years. The only reason I am looking for a new one now is that my wife's cats knocked it off my desk one too many times, and the LED screen went out. I never had any problems w/ this PDA and I would recommend it to any of my friends. The camera worked good and I even had multiple 5 min videos on it and it barely took up any space on my external memory card
(I think it was a 1 or 2 gig card). My wife gave me this pda as a present and I was upset when she told me what it cost when it came out but it was well worth it, I believe I used it for over 10 years. I am an ER Nurse and had various long files on it, like PDR, Epocrates, ACLS and quite a few other long medical type files. I never had problems w/ running any of the files. This is at a GREAT price!!!Get more detail about Sony Clie PEG-NX60 (Silver) Handheld.

Sony CLIE PEG-UX40/U Handheld Top Quality

This Clie exemplifies the love-hate relationship I've had with Sony.
(these comments pertain also to the near-identical UX50, which has WiFi)

First the things to love. The keyboard: best on any PDA. Large, well-spaced, backlit keys. Just the right size to use one-handed or two-handed. Special characters and shifted characters available via consecutive (not simultaneous) key presses. Shift, then alpha instead of shift-alpha.

The one other thing to love is the built-in memory, over 100 MB in several forms. The most important of which is the Media Flash RAM, works like a built-in Memory Stick. If you put this handheld on a shelf for a couple of months and let the RAM die, everything you have is safe in this memory region. When you next powerup, you are prompted to restore your old data. Sure, you can save your stuff permanently on Memory Stick -- HOWEVER, you have to manually save everything. And you have to remember to save everything! Not so with the built-in Media Flash RAM: backup is automatic and worry-free. Convenience is why you use a PDA in the first place, isn't it?

The recharging cradle is also nicely done, it adds only a quarter-inch or so to the handheld's thickness. Very comfortable to hold and use the PDA while it's sitting in the cradle. Which is also a practical necessity since the battery life is pathetic. While the UX40/UX50 uses the same thrifty Sony ARM chip the TH55 has, the built-in battery is so wimpy it lasts only an hour or so, and a couple days when turned off. They made a clip-on extended battery pack, but it costs $$$, if you can find one.

Then there's the screen. First, it's small. If you juxtapose the UX40 screen with that of the TH55, you will see it has the same 480 x 320 resolution, but physically it's about 1/4 inch shorter. Then the color depth -- the colors are washed out on the UX40. I mean, it seems okay just looking at it, but when you hold up the UX40 screen to the TH55, you can see immediately that colors aren't nearly so rich as they might be. This makes pictures on the UX40 look even fuzzier...

Which brings me to the camera. Point three megapixels. Fuzzy pictures. Why bother with the camera if you can't put in a decent one? To be fair, the TH55 also has this lousy camera. And I don't hear so much about the UX40/UX50 cameras breaking down as much as the other Clies. One small advantage on this Clie is you don't need a Memory Stick to use Movie Recorder, because of the built-in Flash RAM.

(This has been mentioned elsewhere, but it bears repetition: There is a way around the crummy-camera problem. Get a used Sony Cybershot digital camera (available here at Amazon). Put your photos on the Memory Stick, then plug the MS into the Clie. The Clie Camera app should be able to grab your pics off the MS (so I'm told, I haven't actually done this myself). Just make sure your Cybershot uses Memory Stick Pro -- different from Memory Stick. You can use the Pro Duo MS with an adapter.)

And the bluetooth is nothing to get excited about. IT's BT 1.0. Transferring a memo takes about 8 times longer than using the infrared. And the user interface is horrid, you have to tap about six times to complete a BT transaction. Even if you have only one trusted device in the BT registry, the software still prompts you to tap your selection for the target BT device. C'mon guys!

Lastly, there are the built-in applications. This Clie runs Palm OS5, but you get the same old OS4 applications. Think 4K memos. Non-hierarchical Todo lists. The lackluster Clie Memo drawing program. (see my review of the TH55).

Summary: superb keyboard and memory. Mediocre in all other respects. Even so, I have to admit that I use my UX40 quite alot because the keyboard is so nice, but only for inputting data. Then I beam it over to the TH55 for the serious work.

HP Jornada 720 - H/PC 2000 - SA-1110 206 MHz - RAM: 32 MB 6.5" ( 640 x 240 ) - black Best Quality

General Overview: The Jornada is a great tool for those who want to type on the go. You can purcahse a PCMCIA card to give access to the Internet. The look of the Jornada is terrible, but can be fixed.

Pros: This device can be syncronized with your computer so if you need to tranfer files to and fro you can. It also has pocket versions of Microsoft Office. The audio on the device is surprisingly good, and you can play mp3s, wavs, and wmas. (Maybe more, but I have not checked) It is light, being about the weight of your remote control and fits in the palm of your hand.

Cons: The look of the Jornada is very old, and XP and Vista users will find it hard to adjust. (Lukily there is a fix). Also the rpograms you can upload on this are minimal, so dont expect to be running much else than what is put on it. (Though there is a PLUS! packaage that included paint, spell checker, and more) Finally the battery life lasts about 5 hours if you want to just plain even look at te screen without it being dark.

Fixes: As I said, the look is rather distasteful. The desktop can be changed easily, but that still makes Icons and the Taskbar look ancient. Look for a pogram called Gigabar that donwloads directly to your Jornada. Youll want the 1.59 version, than download any skin for it. Read the gigbar readme file which will give you directions to how to install the new skin. The site is here: http://www.hpcfactor.com/downloads/

In essence, you'll mainly use this device for typing and using PDA type things. Internet is useful, but you need t pay extra. There cheap now, and if you travel a lot and like to type, get this. Thank you and good luck!Get more detail about HP Jornada 720 - H/PC 2000 - SA-1110 206 MHz - RAM: 32 MB 6.5" ( 640 x 240 ) - black.

I was using this find for a week then I ran the battery out and then it stopped charging. Bought a new battery worked great for a few hours and then the battery died again.

Considering I bought this used from Ebay for 30 dollars I'm not complaining too much. However, I paid for a new battery and 15 dollars for a small screwdriver so I can replace the battery all pointless since the new battery died on this unit.

Have to RMA the battery I hope I get it to work otherwise I will have to live with it plugged in. Also mysteriously the memorycard reader died as well.Get more detail about Sony Clie PEG-TJ35 Handheld.

Dell Axim X50v Pocket Pc Handheld 624 Mhz Right now

I have had my dell axim for several years now, this is a great product for multimedia purposes. You can download many programs and have music, movies,GPS navigation(need reciever), and much much more with this device. I need to mention that dell pda's has several problems with the software and hardware. There are web sites out there to help buyers with various problems from this device. I had to replace my initial Dell axim x50v because of a digitizer problem. My screen would not align and my stylus was never acurate, but after getting a replacment, I have yet to run into any major problems. I recommend having some type of warranty with this product since it has a reputation of so many problems if you are going to purchase this. Where To Buy HP iPAQ H4350 Pocket PC

I thought this product was great. I had a prior Ipaq and upgraded when it finally went south after several years of use. I was impressed with this models speed and ease of use. I love the keyboard as it make entry very fast. I use an advanced medical program to access disease processes, check prescriptions, and drug interactions. This model handles it very well. The battery life is fine. I use it constantly. The case is nice but somewhat awkward (chairs with arms, seatbelts...).

The one negative of the product is the screen is not designed to withstand the slightest impact. Drop it and its gone (cracked...). I made the mistake of putting it in my shirt pocket and it slipped out while picking something off the floor. While my phone and former ipaq handled years of clumsiness, this product will absolutely not. It was an expensive mistake, but has not prevented me from buying another. SPRINT SAMSUNG IP-830W CELL PHONE Get it now!

Now let me just start by saying that I've been with Sprint Nextel for 4 years now, mostly because the company I work for switched wireless provider and I get associate discount. Anyway I've had almost every single PDA, Smartphone, MIT Sprint has to offer. My first phone was the Treo 650 with Palm OS. I prefer larger, bulkier devices rather than the small Blackberry Pearl or Palm Centro. Which were my last 2 phones. So to fix the problem I got this Samsung IP-830w. I've seen it before but because of the pricey tag of $500 (with contract extension) I was not able to get it. Yes, it's quite big compared to newer devices but it also has more features than most. This mobile intelligent terminal is loaded with Windows mobile 5.4. Atleast mine was. There's an update available from the home page of the Internet Explorer to 6.1 and you can also update live search, MSNBC, MSN live, so on. There's also the Picsel browser which I think is one of the best apps this device has to offer. Browsing the web is easier and so much fun. Picsel doubles as a document viewer. The device is Navigation compatible and various apps are available to download at different prices. Like with most smart devices Sprint Navigation is not compatible, but trust me, you won't miss it. Just buy a better one from the store app. Handmark Pocket Express is amazing on this device and provides you with free accurate maps, news, weather and so much more. The devices screen is large and displays an ok resolution. Nothing to get exited about really, the screen is fairly larger than most. The device itself has no video capabilities, atleast not out of the box. If you like streaming videos from YouTube mobile then you can buy a video streamer from the apps store. Once that's set you'll be ready to watch your vids in high res full screen. As far as the phone quality goes, I've got no complaint. It's not superb but better than the Palm Centros. As far as international features, which are the main attraction, the ability to control the settings with such ease makes this device better than most international blackberrys. The device also supports expandable memory. A mini SD card. Which is pretty good considering you can swap cards from other devices like your digital camera to view them or share media on the go. Up to 2gb are supported. With such a big size I wonder why there isn't a camera. It's not a big deal because I carry my Nikon and most smart devices now don't have a camera powerfull enough to replace a real one. So if your looking for a Blackberry alternative or you travel outside the US then this device is a must try. To sweeten the deal you can get this for less than what it was going for when it first came out. Get more detail about SPRINT SAMSUNG IP-830W CELL PHONE.

Palm Tungsten T5 - Palm OS 5.4 - XScale 416 MHz - ROM: 256 MB TFT ( 320 x 480 ) - IrDA, Bluetooth Order Now

The Palm Tungsten T5 ... came quickly, after a couple days I found out how to reset the palm pilot though the reset hole on the back. The palm pilot comes with a stylus on the side that can be used to type things in, write things in (which can convert to typed), and the black end cap can come off to be used in the reset hole. The Hot Sync cables, CD, and Charger were nice additions, but some other things like the cradle kit, and two items that look simular to outlet covers that it came with I don't know what their used for. Extra memory would be helpfull which I sent for. I don't know yet if I could use more than 1GB of memory with it, in a review about a memory card somebody who had a Tungsten T3 couldn't use more than 1.5GB with their palm pilot, but said other Tungstens were allright. The product was labeled used but, in very good condition and I believe that it was refering to the old software. The date before the palm pilot was reset was June 2004. Text documents can be converted through Microsoft Office Word 2007, and the "find" feature can be very beneficial. It came with software to store music, calender -apointments with alarm features, web features, world clock, Bluetooth features, contacts, several word processers, and it looks like headphones can be connected to it Get more detail about Palm Tungsten T5 - Palm OS 5.4 - XScale 416 MHz - ROM: 256 MB TFT ( 320 x 480 ) - IrDA, Bluetooth.
